Wilbur W. Fisher, 80, of Cambridge, died Sunday (November 27, 2011) at his home. He was born February 27, 1931 in Deyarmonville, son of the late Roy Fisher and Goldie (Deyarmon) Fisher. Mr. Fisher retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, where he had worked in the boiler room for many years. He enjoyed model airplanes and attending air shows. He also enjoyed fishing. Mr. Fisher was a US Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters. He is survived by his wife, Margaret E. (Riley) Fisher, whom he married August 25, 1954; a daughter, Sandy Hardy of Scio; five grandchildren, Nick (& Kim) Touville of Cambridge, Amanda Touville (and James Gadd) of Cambridge, Christopher (& Dorothy) Hardy of Fort Drum NY, Brittany Hardy (and Terrance Rose) of Scio, and Louis Hardy (and Samantha Borland) of Scio; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Tuesday (November 29, 2011) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where military services will follow at 1 p.m. conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
