William "Jake" E. Barnhart

William E "Jake" Barnhart, 62, of Cambridge, passed away Friday (May 21, 2021) at his home.

He was born October 31, 1958 in Cambridge, son of William Ray Barnhart, and the late Betty Mae (Dingus) Barnhart.

Jake was a former employee of the Secrest Disposal company.

He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He loved going to the movies, working on cars and helping others in need.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Cobb.

He is survived by his father, William Ray Barnhart of Montana; a son, Zachary E. Barnhart of Byesville; a daughter; Tabatha R. Barnhart of Shadyside; a brother, Terry (& Lisa) Barnhart of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Brittani, Bethani, and Brayden Snodgrass and Kohen Barnhart; many nieces, nephews and friends, and one whom he always considered to be a daughter, Christy Clay.

Visitation will be held Wednesday (May 26, 2021) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Family and friends are all welcome, but due to COVID-19, FACE COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED.  Please take all precautions to ensure your own safety and everyone else's should you decide to attend.
