William Harold Flake Jr.

William Harold Flake Jr., 79, of Cambridge, died Saturday (December 24, 2011) at his home. He was born August 5, 1932 in Indianapolis IN, son of the late William Harold Flake Sr. and Nadine (Furnish) Flake. Mr. Flake was a machinist and plant supervisor at various plants, including White Engines of Canton. He also owned WE Products. He retired from Chrysler Corporation. Mr. Flake was a member of the First Christian Church of Cambridge. He was a member and past president of the Living Word Board of Directors. He was a member and past president of Rotary, where he was also a Paul Harris Fellow. Mr. Flake earned his master's degree in business from Michigan State. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Michael Flake; and two brothers, Robert Flake and Richard Flake. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane (Lockhart) Flake; a son, William Anthony (& Tammy) Flake of Kimbolton; a daughter, Denise (& Larry) Krawczak of Macomb MI; a sister, Doris Barber of Akron; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Wednesday (December 28, 2011) from10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the First Christian Church of Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. with Rev. Deborah D. Bolen officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made in William's name to the First Christian Church, 1127 Beatty Avenue, Cambridge OH 43725.
