William Domhart Iii

William Domhart III, 29, of Ventura CA, died Wednesday (October 16, 2013) at his home. He was born June 20, 1984 in Los Angeles CA, son of William E. Domhart II and Shelley (Peterson) Sanetti. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He was a mechanical engineer for Haas Automation. Mr. Domhart was a US Marine Corps veteran, having served two tours of duty in Iraq. He was a member of the Vertical Horizon Climbing Club. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Carlos Peterson; his paternal grandmother, Rita M. Domhart; and his maternal step-grandmother, Rosemary Peterson. He is survived by his mother, Shelley Sanetti of Indianapolis IN; his father, William E. Domhart II of Florida; maternal grandparents, James Peterson Sr. of Cambridge and Loretta Djalatta of Merida Yucatan Mexico; paternal grandfather, William Domhart I of Palm Bay FL; a brother, Eric (& Sarah) Defreitas of Canton MI; a sister, Jillian Foster of Akron; aunts & uncles, Doug Peterson (& Dawn Moore) of Cambridge, Troy Peterson (& Lisa Cooper) of Cambridge, Jim Peterson (& Rebecca Wright) of Cambridge, April (& Kevin) Massey of Cambridge, Donna Domhart of Buffalo NY, Debbie Vandette of Viera FL, and Delores Lauricella of Satellite Beach FL; a nephew, Jonah Foster of Indianapolis IN; his girlfriend, Nicole Eash of Ventura CA; and his dog, Coco. Family and friends may call on Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Saturday (November 2, 2013) at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Katie Kerrigan officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, with military honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
