William E. Mckinney

March 31, 1945 — October 10, 2021

William E. "Bill" McKinney, 76, of Cambridge, died Sunday (October 10, 2021) at Embassy of Cambridge.

He was born March 31, 1945 in Cambridge, son of the late Harold McKinney and Gladys (Ramage) McKinney-Killiany.

Mr. McKinney retired from NCR, where he had worked as a supervisor/technician for many years.

He was a life member of the Byesville VFW, a life member of the DAV, and a member of the Byesville American Legion.

Mr. McKinney was a US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War.  He later served with the US Air Force in the military police division.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael McKinney; his mother-in-law, Cathy Kidder; and his father-in-law, William Alloway Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Donna (Alloway) McKinney, whom he married December 22, 1994; a daughter, Paula (David) Glass of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Caleb Reed, Dorissa Reed, Abriella Reed, and Riley Reed; a great-grandchild, Steven Reed; and a cousin, Judy King of Byesville.

Visitation will be held Friday (October 15, 2021) from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor David Glass officiating. Friends and family are welcome, but due to COVID-19 please take all necessary precautions to ensure your own safety and everyone else's should you decide to attend.

Military honors will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council following the funeral service.

As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Freedom Worship Chapel, 10 Weedon Avenue, Cambridge OH 43725.
