William Everett Robinson

William Everett Robinson, 80, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (October 6, 2009). He was born August 19, 1929 in Old Town KY, son of the late Melvin Robinson and Pansie (Rayburn) Robinson. Mr. Robinson retired from Champion Spark Plug after thirty-four years of employment. He was a member of the Center United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing and fishing. Mr. Robinson was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Robinson. He is survived by his wife, Grace Luella (McMahon) Robinson of the home, whom he married June 20, 1953; a son, William Lee (& Mary) Robinson of Zanesville; a daughter, Susan (& Karl) Leachman of Norwich; two brothers, Harold (& Shelba) Robinson of Florida and Donald (& Barbara) Robinson of Cincinnati; two sisters, Daisy Coleman of Georgia and Anita (& Bob) Grywalsky of Buffalo; three grandchildren, Jason (& Heather) Leachman of Hopewell, Ashley (& Sean) Wilkinson of Bellbrook and Melissa (& David) Clifton of Byesville; and two great-grandchildren, Brock Leachman and Justyce Clifton. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Friday (October 9, 2009) at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Mansperger officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, with military graveside services conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Center United Methodist Church, 11026 Cadiz Road, Cambridge OH 43725.
