William Wagner, 79, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (July 11, 2012) at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. He was born July 10, 1933 in Cleveland, son of the late Walter Charles Wagner and Doris (Murrin) Wagner. Mr. Wagner retired from the Chevrolet Plant in Parma. He was a member of the Unity Presbyterian Church of Cambridge. Mr. Wagner was a member of the Lions Club and the Ham Radio Club. He was also a Boy Scout leader in Cleveland for many years. He enjoyed woodworking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Corinne (Calvert) Wagner, who he married on February 16, 1957; and two brothers. He is survived by his family of nieces and nephews, including the family of the late Raymond and Dorothy Calvert, and their children, Charles (& Sandra) Calvert of Medina, Clyde Calvert of Litchfield, and Cindy (& Bob) Weigle of Fair Play SC; and also by several friends, including Gene and Sue Wisenbarger of Cambridge. Family and friends may call on Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, with Lions services beginning at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (July 14, 2012) at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Charlotte O'Neil and Pastor Jim Spain officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made in William's name to one of the following organizations: 1) Unity Presbyterian Church, 130 N 7th Street, Cambridge OH 43725; or 2) Cambridge Lions Club, PO Box 1812, Cambridge OH 43725.
