Wilma J. Mcaninch

Wilma J. McAninch, 88, of Cambridge, died Friday (August 12, 2011) at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born March 26, 1923 in West Lafayette, daughter of the late George W. Wetzel and Edna (Duncan) Wetzel. Mrs. McAninch retired from the Wheeling Machine Company, where she had worked as a secretary. She was Christian by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Porteus. She is survived by her husband, Robert S. McAninch; a son, Michael McAninch of Cambridge; a daughter, Beverly McAninch Slasor of Cambridge; a brother, Charles (& Charlotte) Wetzel of Vienna VA; and a sister, Ethel Brown of West Lafayette. No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held at the family's home at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the local animal shelter.
