Wilma J. Shaw, 86, of Nashport, died Friday (December 9, 2016) at Kindred of Newark. She was born November 8, 1930 in Ravenna, daughter of the late Clarence Cecil Clary and Mable Martha (Wisenbarger) Clary. Mrs. Shaw retired from the Christ Haven Children's Home of Keller TX, where she had been a housemother for many years. Mrs. Shaw, along with her late husband, were foster parents to many children throughout her lifetime. She was a graduate of Cambridge High School. Among her favorite activities were reading and collecting dolls. Mrs. Shaw was a member of the New Concord Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Shaw, who died July 21, 2015. They were married November 16, 1952. Also deceased is a son, Michael Shaw; a grandson, Jonathan Conrad; a brother, Clarence Clary; and a sister, Betty Unklesbay Warner. She is survived by two daughters, Martha (& Jeff) Conrad of Desoto TX and Melissa (& Steven) Scott of Nashport; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Thursday (December 15, 2016) at 1 pm. with Jeff Conrad officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
