Wilma D. Tedrick

Wilma D. Tedrick, 86, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (July 29, 2008) at the Autumn Health Care Center of Cambridge. She was born on April 1, 1922 in Byesville, daughter of the late John Gold and Elizabeth (Marinics) Gold. She married Eugene Tedrick on February 16, 1946. Mrs. Tedrick was a longtime employee of the former Cambridge I.G.A. She was a member of the St. Benedict Catholic Church. Mrs. Tedrick was a member for over fifty years of the Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority Phi Chapter and she was an active member of the local Democratic Party. She was a 1940 graduate of Byesville High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, who died on January 22, 1998; four brothers, Jack Bakos, Joe Gold, John Gold and Steve Gold; and three sisters, Betty, Peggy and Justine. She leaves two sons, Jim (& Michelle) Tedrick of Plantation FL and Tim Tedrick of Cambridge; a daughter, Justine Tedrick of Charleston SC; and her grandchildren, Tonya (& Chris) Tedrick of Atlanta GA, Andrew Tedrick of Miami FL, Elizabeth Tedrick Moutz of Charleston SC, Leah Tedrick Moutz of New York City NY, Anna Tedrick Moutz of Pageland SC and Rebekah Tedrick Moutz of Charleston SC. Family and friends may call on Friday from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where a vigil service will begin at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday (August 2, 2008) at 11 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge, with Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
