Wonona M. Carpenter

Wonona M. Carpenter, 79, of Quaker City, died Friday (May 14, 2010) at the Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling WV. She was born December 7, 1930 in Eldon, daughter of the late Roy Lucas and Velma (Cartner) Lucas. Mrs. Carpenter was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Carpenter, who died July 8, 2000; and a son, Robert "Robbie" Carpenter. She is survived by three granddaughters, Shannon (& Mike) Burkhart of Temperanceville, Wendie (& Scott) Reed of Quaker City and Bobbie Jean (& Bruce) Carpenter of Quaker City; and five great-grandchildren, Tyler Burkhart, Dylan Burkhart, Makayla Burkhart, Allison Reed and Gage Reed. No calling hours will be observed. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.
