Yvonne L. (Garrett) Clagett

Yvonne L. ( Garrett ) Clagett, 82, of New Concord, passed away peacefully at her home on February 22, 2021.

She was born February 5, 1939, daughter of the late Charlton O. and Pauline (Davis) Garrett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie A. Clagett, whom she married on August 28, 1960, and who passed away on February 27, 2001; five brothers, Dwight, Clifford, Roland, Darrell, and Bernard Garrett; an infant twin sister, Yvette Garrett; an infant sister, Carol Garrett; and a step-daughter, Dorene Siddle.

Mrs. Clagett retired from East Muskingum Schools where she served as a custodian.

She was a 1958 Graduate of Cambridge High School.

She was a lifelong homemaker and farmer, who enjoyed being outdoors and taking care of her animals.

Yvonne enjoyed puzzles and word searches, and above all, loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons; Terry (& Stacy) Clagett and Larry (& Christine) Clagett of New Concord; seven grandchildren, Michelle (& Jeremy) Wilkinson, Mark Fejeran, Johnna (& Matthew) Drotovick, Jacob Clagett, Justin (& Kayla) Klink, Talia (& Emily Vandercook) Klink, and Rachell (& Christian Dodd) Dettra; six great-grandchildren, Laiken, Shelby, Keelie, Grayson, Weston, and Emma; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Thorn-Black Funeral Home in Cambridge is in charge of arrangements.

Private graveside services will be held on Friday, February 26, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in New Concord with Pastor Mark Stinson officiating.
