Bobbie E. Reid

Bobbie E. Reid, 83, of Zanesville, died Friday (December 4, 2020) at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville.

He was born April 11, 1937 in Buckhannon WV, son of the late Christie and Alberta (Cochran) Reid.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Reid.

He was a United States Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War at Fort Bliss TX.

He is survived by his daughter, Krystina (Justin) Davidson of Zanesville; three sons, Jeremiah (Megan) Reid of Cambridge, James Reid and Jeff Reid both of Willoughby; four grandkids, Maxwell and Shyann Reid of Cambridge, Kensley and Hunter Davidson of Zanesville; and his ex-wife, Cheryl Reid, who he spent many loving years with.

Bob loved his grandchildren and nieces and nephew. He enjoyed going to the local restaurant and drinking his coffee and BSing with the guys. He never knew a stranger and would try to help anyone he could. He would always wave and say hello as you drove by. Bob loved driving Semi and seeing the country.

A private graveside service will be held Wednesday (December 9, 2020) at 3 PM at Bailey Ridge Cemetery in Buckhannon WV.

There will be a celebration of life for Bobbie locally at a later date.

Military graveside honors will be conducted by the Upshur County Veterans Association.
