Bonnie Starr

Bonnie I. Starr, 98, of Cambridge, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Altercare of Cambridge.

Bonnie was born on August 10, 1926, in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Ernest A. Bell and Cecila M. (McCauly) Peters.

Bonnie enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, flower arranging, gardening, and being a caregiver for her family. She worked as a laborer at NCR for many years. She was a member of Fauth United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jasper C. Starr Jr., whom she married on January 16, 1944, and passed away on January 30, 2013, her sisters, Marjorie Wylie and Ernesta Hamilton, her grandson, Michael McKinney, her granddaughter, Kassandra Carol, and three nephews.

Bonnie is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Jo Laird of Cambridge and Leanna Joy McCollum of Cambridge, five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, fifteen great-great grandchildren, two nieces, and friends, Melba Long and Gloria.

Private services are being held.
