Carol June Lodge

Carol June Lodge, 85, of Winterset, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Altercare of Cambridge.

Carol was born on May 10, 1939, in Jefferson Township, daughter of the late Fred and Mabel (Smith) Gunn.

Carol enjoyed quilting, cooking, shopping and her grandbabies. She belonged to Center UM Church and Town Square Quilt Lovers Guild in Caldwell. Carol was a member of Guernsey County Senior Center and Champion Spark Plug Retirees.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Alvin Gunn, her sister, Jean Cox, her grandson, Benjamin Lodge, and her son-in-law, Russ Minton.

Carol is survived by her husband, Dale Lodge, whom she married on November 24,1956, her son; Keith (Gaye) Lodge of Winterset; her daughter, Kendra Minton of Pataskala; her sister, Shirley Stutz of Lore City; four grandchildren, Matthew (Shannon) Lodge, Kymberly Lodge, Katelyn Minton, and Kristen Minton, and her great grandchildren, Lauren and Preston Lodge.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, from 4PM-6PM at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge. The service will be held the following day, Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 11AM at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge with the burial to follow at Center Cemetery.
