Charles Edward Lanning

Charles Edward Lanning, 72, of Cambridge, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025, at SEORMC. Charles was born on June 30, 1952, in Old Washington, a son to the late William George and Shirley (Wheeler) Lanning. Charles worked for the Forum Restaurant in Cambridge and retired twenty years ago. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan and loved the Ohio State Buckeyes. Charles enjoyed collecting cars, fishing, and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his three brothers, Mike, Melvin and Dave. Charles is survived by two sons, Shawn (Crystal) Lanning of Dexter City, and Jason Lanning of Cambridge, a daughter, Leslie Stover of Cambridge, two brothers, Bob Lanning of South Dakota, and Bill (Betty) Lanning of Cambridge, and his sister, Teresa (Steve) Lanning of Galveston, Texas. Also left to cherish his memory are two grandchildren, Quenton (Maggie) Stover and Madison Stover, two step grandchildren, Novia and Lucius Clark, and many nieces and nephews. There will be no services at this time.
