Charles A. "Sonny" Warren

Charles A. "Sonny" Warren, 76, of Cambridge passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family.

He was born May 22, 1942 in Cambridge and was the son of the late William James Warren and Ida Mae (Cox Warren.

Mr. Warren worked at NCR for thirteen years as a supervisor and later worked for the E. G. Smith Company. He was also a self-employed taxidermist.

He was a member of the St. Paul CME Church of Cambridge. He was a lifelong musician, often playing for his church. He also earned his CME minister's license.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Unibea B. Stephenson; and a brother, William James Warren Jr.; two sisters, Ida Belle Warren and Everlene Banks; two brothers, Amos and Otis Copeland.

He is survived by a son, Michael (Angela) Warren of Cambridge; a daughter Charlotte (Neuronsey) Adams of Amherst; a brother, Joseph Warren of California; six grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Wednesday (September 12 ^th ) from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Hollins officiating. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery at a later date.
