Charles Hope Simeral was born in Bethesda, Ohio to the late Vera Simeral Temple and Samuel Simeral. He was protestant by faith. Charles was an honorary member of the Quaker City Masonic Lodge 500, 32nd degree Scottish Rite and The Aladdin Shrine Temple (Kambia Shrine). He was 1956 graduate of Bethesda High School and Bliss College in Columbus, Ohio. Charles was a retired representative of The Boyertown Casket Company and Business Manager of The Municipal Court Judges, City of Columbus, Ohio. Chuck was a former mayor of Quaker City, Ohio, and co-owner with his wife, Irene, of C. and I. Tanning and Inn- Styles Beauty Salon in Quaker City.
He was preceded in death by his half- sisters, Hazel Heskett, June Brandon, Stark, half- brothers, Harold, Wayne, Arthur, and Robert Heskett. Also, Bus and Don Simeral. He is survived by his wife, Irene Schafer Huntsman Simeral and half- brother, Jerry (Maurie) Pyle of Utah, his daughters, Tisha Simeral, Charlene, Simeral and grandson, Walter, step- daughter, Karen (Craig) Neuhart, step- grandchildren, Maggie (Quentin) Stover and Jennifer (Jeremy) Wayble, great grandchildren. Sam and Avery Wayble, nieces and nephews, Don (Ann) Simeral, Ellis Christman, Diane Heskett Snow, Robin Heskett Rice, Laura Heskett, Jon Wayne McCoy, Russell Don McCoy, Heather Jean Ribelin and Chance Rice. He also leaves behind his beloved puppy, China and many friends and co-workers from the Municipal Court and cousins.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Quaker City Masonic Lodge 500, The Quaker City Volunteer Fire Department, or Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
The visitation will be held at Thorn-Black Funeral Home in Quaker City on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 11AM to 12PM. The funeral service will be held at 12PM with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating.
