Daniel (Zeke) Lee Johnson

Daniel “Zeke” Lee Johnson, 81, of Kimbolton, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center.

He was born March 14, 1941, in Kimbolton, Ohio a son of the late Leonard and Geraldine (Herman) Johnson.

Zeke attended Abundant Life Church of Cambridge where he ran the music program. He graduated from Plainfield High School in 1959 and retired from NCR. Zeke acted and worked in the Living Word, he played guitar and sang, and he ran church music programs. He loved watching Westerns. To Zeke rules were not important and he lived by his own ‘rules’.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dianna Jean (Dixon) Johnson who passed on May 16, 2006, and whom he married on June 15, 1962; a brother Joe Johnson; and a grandson Eric Beam.

He is survived by one son, Monte (& Robin) Johnson of Kimbolton; one daughter, Penny (& Dan) Frame of Kimbolton; three grandchildren, Kyle Beam, Morgan Riggs, and Jaycie Jackman; a niece Krystal Wheeler; and a nephew Joey Johnson.

The family would like to thank Embassy of Cambridge for the excellent care provided to Daniel over the past year.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 11AM-1PM at Thorn-Black Funeral Home in Cambridge. The funeral service will be held following the visitation at 1PM where Pastor Sturman Moore will be officiating. Burial will follow at Kimbolton Cemetery.

Family and Friends are welcome, but due to COVID- 19 please take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety and everyone else’s should you decide to attend.
