Delores K (Wilson) Cowden

Delores K (Wilson) Cowden, 73, of Newcomerstown passed away and joined her husband on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at her home.

Delores was born May 12, 1949, in Muskingum County, a daughter of the late Loyal and Beulah (Cutright) Wilson.

She graduated from Meadowbrook High School and was Christian by faith. She enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, planting flowers and spending time with her family. She retired from NCR after 30 years and then went to work for Countryview Assisted Living as an Aid.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Courtney Cowden whom she married June 28, 1980 and who passed February 12, 2023, three brothers, Ed, Gene, and Don and four sisters, Patsy, Betty, Sue, and Joy.

She is survived by her two daughters, Heather (& Darren) Barnhouse of Zanesville and Megan (& Jeremy) Fries of Newcomerstown, three grandchildren, Sydney Dodd, Kylee Roe, and Maci Fries, a few sisters and brothers-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Thorn- Black Funeral Home in Cambridge on Monday, April 17, 2023, from 11AM until the time of the service at 1PM. Pastor Roger Morrow will be officiating. Burial will follow at Northwood Cemetery.
