Obituary
Donovan D. Fairchild, 67, of Cambridge, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023, at his home.
Donovan was born on July 18, 1956, in Cambridge, a son to the late Francis and Glenna (McAninch) Fairchild.
He enjoyed collecting coins, baseball, gardening, and fishing. Donovan was a manager at Fuel Mart. He obtained an associate degree in natural resources from MATC.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda (Dodd) Fairchild, two sisters, Judith A. Gray and Nancy K. Lake, and two brothers, Dane Elliott Fairchild, and John B. Fairchild.
Donovan is survived by two sons, Donovan Fairchild of Dover, and Joshua Borton of Pleasant City, his brother, James Robert (Suzanne) Fairchild of Frostproof, FL, two sisters, Francine (Jim) Hendershot of Cambridge and Melanie Vogelsong of Grove City, five grandchildren, his sister-in-law, Pam Fairchild of Byesville and his very close friends, Angela (Brad) Douglas and their children, as well as his neighbor and close friend, Samantha Stiffler, and her children.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023, from 11AM-1PM, with a service to immediately follow at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge. Burial will take place at Northwood Cemetery.
