Dora Sherman Obituary

Dora Jean Sherman, 61, of Cambridge, went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with medical issues on Saturday, December 30th, 2023.

Dora was born April 24,1962, in Cambridge, a daughter to the late John “DOC” Sherman and June (Ford) Sherman.

Dora enjoyed spending time with and having coffee any time of the day or night with her family and friends, taking care of her house plants and roses, collecting Elvis memorabilia and other collectable trinkets.  Dora will be most remembered for her loving heart of gold and ability to see the very best in everyone she knew.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Debbie Sherman, brothers Ron and David Sherman.

She is survived by her sons David Bradshaw of Russell, KS, Michael {Angela) Bradshaw of Medicine Lodge, KS, her daughter Keisha Bailey of Cambridge. Granddaughter Angelina Herron, Great Grandson Ryver Herron, both of Pottsborrow, TX. Granddaughter Macie Lynn Jones and Grandson Tyson James Joseph Smithberger, both of Cambridge. Brother Scott (Karen) Sherman of Pleasant City, OH. Sisters Tammy Fish, Martha Sherman, and Beth Stobart all of Cambridge, OH. Sister-In-Law Alaine (Ron) Sherman of Indiana, PA. Nieces Christy Fish, Kayla Sherman, Ashley Owczerak, Amber (Jim) Racchini, Arielle (Alex) Davis, Miranda Redden, Trista Stobart, Rebecca Ford, Jessica Stobart. Nephews Tim (Lacey) Fish, Sean Sherman, John (Kristin) Sherman, Wayne Sherman, Alfred Owczerak, Jeremy Redden, Mitch (Cynthia) Redden, Oscar Stobart. Several great nieces and great nephews.  Lifelong best friend Teena Beebe. Friend and caregiver Martha Lancaster. Her support dog, her pride and joy Cuddles, which she cherished.

Thorn-Black Funeral Home will be handling cremation services. No funeral services will be held at the funeral home, only a private visitation for family.

Celebration of Life Service and Dinner will be held at the Pleasant City United Methodist Church on Main St, Pleasant City this Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 12:30 P.M.  Dora’s brother Scott Sherman will officiate the eulogy.

In lieu of flowers, if you would like to donate, Dora’s family is requesting that donations be made in Dora's honor and sent directly to Thorn-Black Funeral Home to assist in the cremation service.
