Lelia Faye Wallace, 92, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Monday, August 29, 2022 at Lincoln Village Assisted Living facility in Columbus.
Faye was born on October 29, 1929 in Quaker City, Ohio, a daughter to the late Homer and Lena (Harris) Grier.
Faye was a graduate of Quaker City High School. She was a bookkeeper for Pomco Grocery Wholesaler for many years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Barnesville and a lifetime member of the Eastern Star. Faye enjoyed volunteering at St Vincent DePaul and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Wallace whom she married in March 1950; brother, Charles Grier; sister, Martha Atkinson; and beloved son-in-law, Gregory Carpenter.
Faye is survived by daughter, Janet Carpenter of Brooksville, FL; her grandchildren, Jill (Nate) Martin of Piedmont, OK, Wendy (Roger Carson) Greiner of Canal Winchester, OH, and Kyle (Samantha Midolo) Carpenter of Cleveland, OH; and her two great-grandchildren Joss and Jemma Dodson.
Graveside services will be observed at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City, OH on Tuesday, September 6 at 11:00 am. Rev Bob Willits will be officiating.
