Gary Alan Lyons

Gary Alan Lyons, 71, of Cambridge, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at his home.

Gary was born on March 3, 1952, in Cambridge, a son to Melvina (Jones) Lyons and the late Charles Lyons.

He held many, many positions, loan officer, acquisitions officer, and real estate agent. He was a basketball referee for 25 years. He coached little league and collected antique toys. Gary was a member of Antrim Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Gary is survived by his wife, Debbie (Ziegler) Lyons, whom he married on June 6, 1992, his mother, Melvina Lyons of St. Clairsville; two sons, Ryan (Shayla) Ziegler of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Adam Lyons of the home; one daughter, Tracy Lyons of Cambridge; four brothers, David (Cindy) Lyons of Salesville, John (Mel) Lyons of Dover, Ed (Susan) Lyons of Cambridge, and Jimmy Lyons of St. Clairsville; and two sisters, Kathy (Scott) Stephens of St. Clairsville, and Nancy (Eric) Householder of Old Washington.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 4:00-6:00 PM at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge, with a service to be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge. Burial will be held after the service at Antrim Community Cemetery.
