Harold Lee Gibson

Harold Lee Gibson, 96, of Cambridge, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Altercare of Cambridge.

Harold was born on October 28, 1927, in Cambridge, a son to the late William and Olga (Dunning) Gibson.

Harold was a United States Navy Veteran. He enjoyed walking and fishing and worked for GTE/Verizon as a Switch Worker. Harold was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Gibson, his brothers, Bill and Richard Gibson, and his sisters, Helen Campbell, Elizabeth Mooney, and Edith Ann Simpson.

Harold is survived by two sons; Jim (Trudy) Gibson of Cambridge, and Tom Gibson of Bellevue, OH, four grandchildren; Jason (Kim) Gibson of Bremerton, WA, Briana Vineyard of Bladensburg, OH, Sarah Gibson of Chicago, IL, and Katie Gibson of Punta Gorda, FL, five great grandchildren; Ashley Gibson of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Lilly Vineyard of Bladensburg, Isaac Vineyard, Maia Vineyard, and Madelyn Vineyard, all of Bladensburg, OH. Also left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Tom Gibson of Pekin, IL, and Susie Gibson of Cambridge, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Harold's name to the Cambridge Presbyterian Church or to The Guernsey County Veterans Council.
