Herbert "Herbie" L Earley Jr.

Herbert “Herbie” L Earley Jr, 75, of Cambridge, Ohio passed away at his home Sunday, February 26, 2023. 

He was born February 5, 1948, in Korea, a son of the late Herbert and Lillian (Ford) Earley Sr. 

Herbie served his country in the U.S. Army before working and retiring from the Belmont Correctional Institute where he worked in maintenance. He loved fishing, fixing anything that broke, and working with his hands in his free time.  

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by, two daughters, Twila Earley and Sophie Harris, two sons, Herbie Earley and John Fannin, one brother Chung Earley and a sister Ruth Earley. 

He is survived by his wife Jeanette Fannin, along with three daughters, Tiffany Blanchard of Lore City, Cleola Earley of Cambridge, and Nicole (& Arzy) Watson of Claysville, three sons Chris Harris of Cambridge, Michael Harris of Columbus, and Steve Harris of Cambridge, three brothers, Mike Earley of Cincinnati, Howard Payton of Uhrichsville and Chris Earley of West Virginia, and three sisters Jacinta Tucker of Middleton, Jackie Earley of Dover and Mary Jo Smith of Alabama. His memory will also be cherished by his eighteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, his two close friends Butch Snoddy and Mike Mack and several nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be Friday, March 3, 2023, from 11AM until the time of the service at 1PM at Thorn-Black Funeral Home in Cambridge. Burial will follow the service at Guernsey Memory Gardens. Reverend Randolph White will officiate.
