John S. Hazinakis, 54, of Byesville, died Monday (June 14, 2021) at his home.
He was born August 30, 1966 in Cambridge, son of the late Stephen J. Hazinakis and Diane M. (Funk) Hazinakis.
Mr. Hazinakis was a former tree trimmer and construction worker.
He enjoyed fishing and was an avid fan of the Steelers.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gus S. Hazinakis and Michael Hazinakis; a sister, Holly L. Armbruster; a granddaughter, Malaia D. Francis; a nephew, Stephen C. Ford; and the mother of his children, Barbara Dennis.
He is survived by three daughters, Amber Hazinakis of Byesville, Heather Hazinakis of Lore City, and Brittany Hazinakis of Byesville; two brothers, Brian Hazinakis and Randy Dale Cutright both of Cambridge; two sisters, Tina Ford of Cambridge and Kiria (Robert) Griffith of Martins Ferry; five grandchildren, Nevaeh Francis, Zayden McKinney, Zayla Francis, Lanay Hazinakis, and Ondre Hazinakis; his lifelong friend, Jerald Wayne Ray; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
Visitation will be held Friday (June 18, 2021) from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge.
