John C Veselenak

John C Veselenak, 81, of Bradenton, Florida passed away Wednesday,  January 1, 2025, at Tampa General Hospital in Florida.

He was born October 17, 1943, in Pleasant City, a son to the late John and Sue (Branchick) Veselenak.

John served in the US Navy for over twenty years. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. While in the Navy he worked as a Civil Engineer. He was very proud of his military service. He graduated from the Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. He remained close to his family even though they lived far away.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by several extended family members and his good friends in Florida.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 11AM to 12PM at Thorn- Black Funeral Home in Cambridge with the service to immediately follow with the Guernsey County Veterans Council providing military honors. A graveside service will be held at Pleasant City Cemetery following the service.
