Karen June (Knight) Myers, 75, of Marion, formerly of Cambridge, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at The Wyndmoor of Marion surrounded by family.
Karen was born on July 21, 1948, in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Cathryn (Addis) Knight.
Karen was a 1966 graduate of Cambridge High School. She worked for GTE/Verizon and retired after thirty plus years. She enjoyed bingo and bowled in different leagues in her younger years. Karen was a big fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns, and the Dallas Cowboys, but enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians more than anything. She had a great love for her family and enjoyed spending all of the time she could with them, especially her grandchildren. Karen was Baptist by Faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Betty McLaughlin, and her cousin, Ann Preston.
Karen is survived by her son, Jeremy Myers of Cambridge, her daughter, Rachel (Scott) Tefft of Marion, her brother, Ted Taylor of North Salem, and her sister, Barbara Lantz of Port Ritchey, Florida. Also left to cherish her memory are her four grandchildren, Kyle Tefft, Alli Tefft, Kelsie Tefft, and Gage Hannum, the father of her children, Ralph Myers of Winterset, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge from 11AM-1PM with the service to immediately follow with Rev. David Derry officiating. Burial will be held at Northwood Cemetery.
She will be remembered for her infectious smile, laugh, and her sayings, "Kill 'Em with Kindness" and "Go With the Flow".
