Margaret C. “Peggy” Ditto, 76, of Cambridge, went to be with her lord and savior, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s at Countryview Assisted Living.
She was born August 23, 1945 in Zanesville, daughter of the late Lawrence Paul Nugent and Christine (Hulka) Nugent.
Mrs. Ditto retired in 2004 from the Cambridge/Guernsey County Health Department, where she had worked as a clerk.
She was a member of Christ Our Light Parish. Her other memberships included Catholic Daughters, Catholic Women’s Club, and Ohio Right to Life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Elizabeth Jackson, Barbara Nugent and Sister Mary Ann Nugent.
She is survived by her husband, William F. Ditto, whom she married September 25, 1971; a son, Will (& Natalie) Ditto of Etna; two daughters, Christine (& Dustin) Robison of Caldwell and Susan (& Ross) Bloomberg of Granville; four brothers, Lawrence Nugent of Cambridge, James (& Gulize) Nugent of Georgia, Billy Nugent of Colorado, and Paul (& Deb) Nugent of Nebraska; two sisters, Winnifred (& Henry) Wells of Old Washington, and Patricia (& Jerry) Jones of Columbus; eleven grandchildren, Joni, Jordan, Jenna, and Jake Pethtel, Dominic Robison, Lauryn and Nick Wolverton, Max Bloomberg, Kristen Ashley, Jaxsyn, and Nya Ditto; and many nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 5-7pm at Thorn- Black Funeral Home in Cambridge on Friday, April 29, 2022, and from 10-11am at Christ Our Light Parish where a mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am. Father Paul Hrezo will be officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Cambridge following the mass. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Countryview Assisted Living, 62825 County Home Rd, Lore City, OH 43755.
