Max Donald Carpenter

Max Donald Carpenter, 82, of Senecaville, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.

He was born on December 27, 1940, in Batesville, Ohio, a son to the late Alva and Mary (Yost) Carpenter.

Max enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom and ginseng hunting, spending time with family, yardwork and taking care of pigs and horses. He attended the Ohio School of the Deaf in Columbus and later went on to work as a welder. Everyone that knew Max loved him. He was Christian by Faith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Zelma, Lenna, Olive, Rodney, Bobby, Herbert, Dorothy, Norma, and Mary Louis.

Max is survived by the love of his life, Mary “Sharon” Pasters Carpenter, whom he married on June 16, 1962, his three sons, David (Vicki) Carpenter of Coshocton, Jeff Carpenter of Senecaville, and Paul Carpenter of Senecaville, his daughter, Jill (Tim) Eagon of Quaker City, his two brothers, Frank (Bessie) Carpenter of Caldwell, and Connie (Marsha) Carpenter of Westerville, his five grandchildren, Nikki, Keelie, Cami, Kloie, and Tristan, two great-grandchildren, Kylien and Makinzee, two step grandchildren, Danielle and Derrick, his close friend, Andy Bonaventura, and his cat, Kimmy.

Calling hours will be held Friday, April 28, 2023, from 11:00AM to the time of the service at 1:00PM at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Quaker City with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating. Burial will be held at Friends Cemetery in Quaker City.
