Randy Lynn Severn, 49, of Cambridge, passed away Sunday May 1, 2022, at Genesis Healthcare in Zanesville, Ohio.


He was born May 7, 1972, in Zanesville Ohio son of Randy R. Severn of Cambridge and the late Verna (Jirles) Severn.


Randy was Christian by faith. He graduated from Meadowbrook High School in 1992. Randy enjoyed fourwheeling, waterskiing, being outdoors, working on trucks, and spending time with his family and his dogs, especially his beloved dog Max. He also loved Marilyn Monroe.

Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Forest Severn and Margaret Severn Jacoby and his maternal grandparents Roger and Mary Jirles.


He is survived by his wife, Jill Severn of Zanesville; his father, Randy Severn of Cambridge; his two sons, Austin Severn of Aurora, CO and Kaden Severn of Old Washington; one brother, Roger (& Melissa Molisee) Severn of Byesville; two nieces; one nephew; his favorite aunt, Joann Jirles of Cambridge; a cousin, Scott Jirles and family of Dover; his father and mother-in-law, Fred and Sue Erwine of Zanesville; and Many, many good friends.


Calling hours will be observed at Thorn- Black Funeral Home in Cambridge on Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 5-8PM. Funeral services will be on Friday, May 6, 2022, at 11AM. Burial will follow at Northwood Cemetery. Pastor Lester Bell will be officiating.


Family and Friends are welcome, but due to COVID- 19 please take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety and everyone else’s should you decide to attend.
