Rita C. Foraker

Rita C. Foraker, 70, of Cambridge, died Saturday (December 22, 2018) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge.

She was born September 19, 1948 in Cambridge, daughter of the late John DeLancey and Mary (Bates) DeLancey.

A 1966 graduate of Shenandoah High School, Mrs. Foraker had worked at NCR and Foraker Tractor as a secretary.

She was a member of the New Concord Church of Christ.

Mrs. Foraker was a member of the Guernsey Homemakers.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and she especially enjoyed going to Florida in the winter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roger DeLancey.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn V. Foraker; three sons, Pat (& Brenda) Foraker of Quaker City, Ronald Foraker of Old Washington, and Jason (& Lauren) Foraker of Cambridge; two daughters, Debbie (& Buddy) Jeffrey of Pataskala and Mindy (& Lloyd) Roe of Quaker City; a brother, David (& Chris) DeLancey of Zanesville; a sister, Lisa (& Jim) Lipply of Carlyle; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday (December 27, 2018) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Minister Terry Townsend officiating.

Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.

As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the New Concord Church of Christ, PO Box 65, New Concord OH 43762.
