Robert (Mark) Calvert

Robert (Mark) Calvert was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

He was born on November 19, 1953, in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Norma and Robert Calvert.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother Norma J Kerr, Father Robert Calvert, Stepfather Richard Kerr, brother Donald Calvert and infant sister Melanie Calvert.

He is survived by his wife Lizbeth, niece Faith and nephew Don, and several great nieces and nephews as well as his stepchildren and step grandchildren.

Mark graduated from Cambridge High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from the Ohio State University in Athens, Ohio and obtained his MSW Degree from Colorado University. Mark worked for the Veteran’s Administration for several years after graduating and later changed his career path and was employed as a medical device manufacturing engineer at a company in Colorado for many years before retiring.

Mark enjoyed many outdoor activities throughout his life including golf, skiing, fishing, bird watching, hiking in the mountains, and spending time at the ocean shore. He enjoyed volunteering at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. He was a member of the Lions Club International and served as Vice President of the local chapter. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Cambridge and enjoyed serving on the Diaconate Board and helped with local church missions. He especially loved spending time helping with Cambridge High School Athletic Department events.

The visitation and funeral service will be held at 1st Baptist Church of Cambridge at 11:00 AM on May 23, 2022.
