Roger Lee Burroughs

Roger Lee Burroughs, 76, of Cambridge, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023, at SEORMC.

Roger was born on June 22, 1947, in Winterset, a son to the late Foster and Edna (Ernest) Burroughs.

Roger was a 1965 graduate of Madison High School. He was a painter and worked in the Powhatan Mine. Roger was a US Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was a great caregiver.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley McCort, and his siblings, Freda, Gene, Doris, Ronnie, Larry and Janet.

Roger is survived by his daughter, Chandra Caugh of Florida, his girlfriend, Donna Kimble of Cambridge, his brother, Gary (Lucy) Burroughs of Lore City, his sisters, Margaret (Charles) Henry of Freeport, and Juanita (Hercshel) Dodd of Quaker City, his two grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, and his special friend and nephew, Jay Burroughs.

There will be a graveside service held at a later date.
