Ronald M. Harris, 76, of Byesville, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023, at the Morrison House in Zanesville.
Ronald was born on November 7, 1946, in Martins Ferry, a son to the late Dewey and Anna Jane (Henthorne) Harris.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge, the VFW, and the Eagles. Ronald enjoyed fishing, camping, going to the Guernsey County Fair, and loved chocolate. He was a kind person who never closed a door to anyone and would always help anyone who needed it.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Crystal (Shafer) Harris, whom he married in 1983, and passed away in 2009.
Ronald is survived by his four sons, Scott (Carla) Harris of Clarksburg, Chad (Nikki Abrams) Harris of Cambridge, James (Bobbie) Hostutler of Cambridge, and Jerry (Jenna Pruett) Hostutler of Davares, FL, his three daughters, Karla Basil of Cambridge, Shawna (Jeff) Fraley of Byesville, and Kim (Brian) Mikes of Byesville. Also left to cherish his memory are his brother, James Harris of Kimbolton, his sister, Nancy (Abbott) Moore of Cleveland Heights, twenty-seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and his dogs, Bear, Sassy, and Daisy.
