Russell B. Wolfe

Russell B. Wolfe, 83, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (November 13, 2018) at his home.

He was born March 1, 1935 in Cambridge, son of the late John Wolfe and Edna (Hill) Wolfe.

Mr. Wolfe retired from the US Air Force after twenty years, seven months, and five days of service during the Korean War and the Vietnam War.  He had also worked at the former Cambridge State Hospital in the maintenance department.

He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.  He could often be found tinkering around on one project or another.

Mr. Wolfe was a friend of Jehovah's Witnesses.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary W. (Ormerod) Wolfe, whom he married July 22, 1957; a daughter, Wendy Woytko; four brothers, Harold, Charles, Jack, and Roy Wolfe; six sisters, Dorothy Delforge, Helen Stevens, Edna Slifko, Thelma Wynn, Wilma Ross, and Violet Gatrell; and a daughter-in-law, Myrna Wolfe.

He is survived by two sons, Ron Wolfe (& Vickie Hunter) of Cambridge and Russell Wolfe of Kimbolton; a sister, Gladys Harper of Cambridge; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Mike Woytko; and his buddy & brother-in-law, Dick Gatrell.

Visitation will be held Sunday (November 18, 2018) from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Monday (November 19, 2018) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Randolph White officiating.

Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge, with military honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
