Scott Nelson Waddell passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023, peacefully at his home after a long battle with cancer.

Scott was born March 18, 1962, in Zanesville, a son of Richard and Doris (Hayes) Waddell of Bradenton, FL.

He graduated from John Glenn High School in 1980. Scott served in the US Army National Guard and was a general contractor by trade. Scott enjoyed being involved in 4-H and the Salt Fork Riding Club. He enjoyed woodworking, old cars, cooking, plants and building his own greenhouse. He was a former member of the Eagles.

Scott is survived by his parents, Richard and Doris (Hayes) Waddell of Bradenton, FL, his wife of 27 years Roxann (Stambaugh) Waddell, three sons, Josh (& Richelle) Carpenter of Steubenville ,Ryan (& Kellie) Waddell of Durango, Co, and Adam (& Sadie Hupp) Waddell of Cambridge, two daughters, Tracy Lagneaux-Williams of Cambridge and Sara Cowan of Wrangell, AK, two brothers, Michael ( & Sydney) Waddell of Zanesville and David (& Dawn) Waddell of Dillsburg, PA, and two sisters, Shelly  (& Joseph) Delik of Pleasant City, and Tina (& Tracey) Hill of Cambridge. Also left to cherish his memory are 11 grandchildren, CPT Paige Cooley, US Army, Hunter Williams, Adeline Waddell, Syler James Waddell, Cassady Cowan, Vanessa Cowan, Hunter Cowan, Micah Waddell, Garvin Waddell, Kadence Waddell, and Genesis Waddell, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, his closest friends, Dave, Scott and John, and his beloved dog Dixie.

There will be no services at this time.
