Thomas R. Hayes

Thomas R. "Tom" Hayes, 69, of New Concord, went home to be with his beloved wife Virginia in the arms of the Lord on Saturday (February 16, 2019).

He was born March 21, 1949 in New Concord, son of the late Thomas Hayes and Hazel (Stoneking) Hayes.

A graduate of John Glenn High School, Mr. Hayes was a master electrician and retired from Jess Howard Electric of Columbus. He also was the owner of T. Hayes Electric LLC for many years.

He was Christian by faith and was very active with his online Bible studies.

He enjoyed writing, drawing, nature, electronics, and chatting with friends.

Mr. Hayes was a US Air Force veteran.

He is survived by a son, J. Matthew Hayes of Columbus; a daughter, Sarah Hayes (& Beth Baird) of Columbus; two brothers, Larry Hayes of New Concord and Charles (& Linda) Hayes of Newark; two sisters, Doris (& Dick) Waddell of Florida and Rose Barbour of Oregon; a grandchild, Della; and many nieces and nephews.
