William Rowe Obituary

William Lee “Skippy” Rowe, 53, of Lore City, died Sunday (February 6, 2022) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center.

He was born June 10, 1968 in Newark, son of the late Billy Lee Rowe and Jacqueline “Fitzsimmons” Rowe.

He was a graduate of Philo High School in 1986 and got his associate degree in Computer Science. He was a stay at home dad and a former computer consultant and dispatcher for the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Department. William was also an Air Force veteran.

He thoroughly enjoyed his time as a member of the Quaker City 500 Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter, shopping, photography, and camping. William was also a weather bug with a deep desire to be a storm chaser.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death and by a gentleman that he considered his second father, Festes Cain.

He is survived his wife Lora Rowe whom he married on September 23, 2006; by one daughter Mikalyn Rowe of the home; his step- mother Gail Rowe; three brothers Craig Rowe, David Rowe, and Scott Frazier; five sisters Marti Rowe, Kelli Schneider, Lei Ann Rowe, Teresena Careins and Barbara Stout; the woman he considered his second mother Marsha Frazier; his father and mother- in- law Butch and Karen Prouty and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be observed Monday, February 14, 2022 from 3-5 at Thorn- Black Funeral Home Cambridge. Masonic service and Military honors to follow.
