Winifred “Winnie” Faith Lucille (Custer) Stavely, 57, of Cambridge, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at her home.
Winnie was born November 1, 1965, in Millersburg, Ohio, a daughter to the late Stanley and Chloe (Harris) Custer.
She was a Christian by faith and loved Jesus and reading the Bible. Winnie also loved to take care of her chickens and goat on her little farm, to bake, and to spend time with her family, especially grandchildren. She was also an excellent cook. She graduated from Tuscarawas Valley High School and Buckeye Joint Vocational School with a certification in Early Childhood Education.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Paul Custer and a sister Candy Freeman.
Winnie is survived by her husband Eddie Stavely III whom she married on February 24, 1990, one son Daniel Stavely of the home, two daughters Holly (& Garrick) Sheene and Katie (& Tyler) McConnell both of Cambridge, three sisters Vicky (& Les) Doudna of Barnesville, Charity Custer of Arizona, and Jennifer (& Mike) Davis of Bolivar. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Sophie and Jack Sheene and several nieces and nephews.
There will be calling hours Monday, January 30, 2023, at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge from 11am to 1pm with a service to follow at 1pm. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery. Pastor Steve Matthews will be officiating.
