Gary A. Brokaw, 67, of Cambridge, died Thursday, February 25, 2021, at his home, after a 25 day battle with lung cancer.
He was born April 26, 1953, son of the late Jerry and Janet (Kirkman) Brokaw.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Brokaw, and two sisters, Vicki DeVault and Tracy Brown.
Gary was a US Army veteran.
He was a truck driver by trade, a member of the Byesville VFW Post #3760, and he enjoyed riding motorcycles and golfing, and his Friday nights out with the boys.
Mr. Brokaw is survived by his wife, Benita (Woltz) Brokaw, whom he married on December 24, 1983; a daughter, Holly Nicole of Cleburn, TX; a brother, Dennis Brokaw of Cambridge; a sister, Terena Jackson of Cambridge; two brothers-in-law, Mel Brown and John DeVault; three sisters-in-law, Wanda (& Jim) Hockenberry, Jodi (& Jay Archer) Murrey, and Mari Lee (& Pas) DeMartino; one aunt and several nieces and nephews.
Thorn-Black Funeral Home in Cambridge is in charge of arrangements.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at 10 a.m. at the Guernsey County Memory Gardens in Cambridge.
