Shelly A. Burris-Jones

Shelly A. Burris-Jones, 46, of Cambridge, passed away Thursday (December 2, 2021) surrounded by her family at her home.

She was born July 1, 1975 in Cambridge, daughter of Barbara (Anderson) Burris and the late Charles E. Burris.

She earned her Bachelor's degree from Ohio University in Mild and Moderate Behavior Studies.  She completed coursework towards her Master's degree in Special Education at Muskingum University.  She had worked for twenty years in the developmental & disability field.  She was also a self-employed daycare worker.

Mrs. Burris-Jones was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.

She loved spending time with her family.  She was a Disney fanatic and loved to travel.

She is survived by her husband, Tony Jones, whom she married November 8, 1996; her mother, Barbara Burris of Cambridge; three sons, Chandler Burris-Jones of Chicago IL, Hayden Burris-Jones of Cambridge, and Mason Burris-Jones of Cambridge; three daughters, Kristyn Burris-Jones of New Concord, Mallory Burris-Jones of Cambridge, and Sophia Burris-Jones of Cambridge; and two brothers, Erik Burris of Cambridge and Adam Burris of Cambridge.

Private graveside services will be held for the family at their convenience with burial at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
